The Sartorialist

I think the Sartorialist would agree that the ladies off the runway look as good as those on the runway at NYC Ready to Wear 2008. Now where is my navy coat?

Soap and Glory

I was so excited to find that my local Target now carries Soap and Glory. By Bliss' Marcia Kilgore, I love the goofy packaging. Good thing I was desperately in need of some new lotion and bubble bath.

Marc Jacobs

I have always been a fan of Marc Jacobs' quirky but lady-like details. Reminds me of something you might pull out of your fabulous great aunt's closet. From his Spring 2008 Ready to Wear Collection.

Serious Visual Impact

I found this great post by A Little Sussy. It's a collage of polaroids by Grant Hamilton. Needless to say, my polaroids never looked like that.

Suzani Pillows

Inspired by style court's wonderful post "More Hippie Luxe," these fabulous suzani pillows from Madeline Weinrib.

Because Books Need Accessories, Too

From Kate Spade, these great bookcovers. Available for download here. I've always loved that the Spades, in their ads and in their homes, aren't afraid to work in a few well-read paperbacks. I sure will miss her when she's gone.

pink + orange

I think the colors pink and orange allow for a nice transition from summer to fall.

The Bubble Roome

I've never tried these bath potions, but I sure would love to have them displayed in my bathroom. Just so darn cute.

Not Ready for Fall

Maybe I should wear this to the first Georgia Tech football game tomorrow? Just kidding, of course. This isn't Gainesville, Florida. Really, I just love the picture and wanted an excuse to post it.

Ready for Fall

A few days at the beach gave me a chance to actually read my new magazines, instead of merely using them as a distraction from exercising while on the treadmill. I adore this Jonathan Adler "Richard Nixon" throw, from the pages of Blueprint. Can't wait until the leaves are this color, too.

Southern Coastal Vernacular

Just a few quiet images of Florida's northernmost barrier islands. Sidney Lanier's "Marshes of Glynn" describes it better than I ever could. Except he doesn't mention my favorite sandals.

p.s. I know Glynn County is in Georgia.

p.p.s. I know Jack Rogers aren't the original Navahos, but I love them all the same.

New at Sephora

So what do you get when you mix seven college friends, one condo, and three days at the beach? Not a lot of counterspace, but a whole lot of fun.

Breaking the Rules

It looks like I'll still be wearing white after Labor Day, especially if I can get my hands on this bracelet.

Goodbye, Summer

Last official weekend of summer, and I'm headed down to the beach for a little vacation. I guess I'll have to pack away my favorite summer color for my toes, even though it will be 80 degrees through October.

Shopping in Savannah, Part II

BleuBelle, 205 West Broughton Street

24e, 24 East Broughton Street

E. Shaver, Bookseller, 326 Bull Street

From what I hear, General Sherman spared Savannah on his fiery march to the sea, and instead presented it to President Lincoln as a Christmas gift. I guess the General was planning on doing a little more shopping once he got into town. Great things for your closet, your home, and your bookshelf.

Michael Stars

I think this dress comes in three colors; I'll take one of each. Perfect for my aversion to ironing.

Bas Bleu

My friend Heidi at work introduced me to the bookseller Bas Bleu. Their catalog always has great selections, and great reviews of the books. I'm always inspired when I can't decide what to read next. As for the chair picture, I think I'd rather be sitting there reading, instead of sitting here at work worrying about whether or not my house is clean enough for my mother-in-law's visit tonight!

Shopping in Savannah, Part I

The Paris Market, 36 West Broughton Street, really does have the feel of a French flea market, minus the jet lag. Books, furnishings, fragrances, candles, candy--you name it, they've got it. And they've got it all on their lovely website, too.

Sarah's Wedding, Part II

A few more pictures from Brad and Sarah's wedding. Please note the unbelievable sushi. Maybe they are enjoying some more of that right now in Hawaii.

Crazylibellule and The Poppies

While shopping in Savannah last weekend (more on that later), I ran across these litttle French perfume sticks, scented with vanilla and other treats. While they were a little sweet for my taste, the packaging alone made me want each and every one. The website is en Francais, but they are available from b-glowing.
