So now that Paper Source has opened in my neighborhood, I'm pretty sure my life will never be the same--in a good way. Since I'm currently obsessed with textiles, I'm thinking bookcovers in some of their exquisite papers might satisfy this desire (and be a tad less expensive than Les Indiennes and John Robshaw).

I can't stop with the textile posts. I try, but I keep stumbling upon more and more I love. Like these, from Etsy sellers cicada studio and of paper and thread. Gosh, I think I'm going to have to add a textile category to this here blog.

folly cove designers

In the May 2008 Vogue, I read the most interesting article about the Folly Cove Designers. These prints are by the textile collective, started in 1938 by Virginia Lee Burton, who also illustrated the beloved children's books Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel and The Little House. Rita Konig posted pictures of some delightful Porthault sample books. Who doesn't love Porthault? I'll tell you who, and here's a hint: I'll file this under "things Trey will never agree to having in our home." But I love my little modern architect all the same.

Marimekko

I've always been a big fan of Marimekko, and I loved the fabric on this sofa in the Anthropologie catalog. There is lots more fabulousness at their website.

Denyse Schmidt + Gee's Bend

I have always loved the quilts of Denyse Schmidt. She creates quilts that don't make me feel itchy and sneezy. Can't help but think that she gets quite a bit of inspiration from the very talented ladies of Gee's Bend, as featured on these 2006 stamps.

Ready for Fall

A few days at the beach gave me a chance to actually read my new magazines, instead of merely using them as a distraction from exercising while on the treadmill. I adore this Jonathan Adler "Richard Nixon" throw, from the pages of Blueprint. Can't wait until the leaves are this color, too.

Oh, Domino

An all-time favorite picture, the cover of the first Domino magazine, one of my all-time favorite magazines. So inspiring, that my husband covered our red dining room chairs in this David Hicks fabric. Saw the new issue at the bookstore on Friday, but as usual, I'm still waiting on mine.
