brandi + nate

Last weekend, we attended the Destin wedding of friends Brandi and Nate. Those two weren't afraid to tempt Mother Nature--with Ike threatening Florida's Gulf Coast--and they succeeded in the end. They used the shell painted by Brandi's mother as their motif, and I loved her choice of orange on the beach. Trey threw in his Nantucket Reds for some more color, and we all drank hurricanes and had a blast.

goodbye, olympics

I have enjoyed watching this year's Olympics so much, I'm probably going to go through a bit of a withdrawal this week. My best friend Heather and I won gold (she probably won for best hair) at our friend Olivia's birthday party many years ago.
P.S. That Mrs. Lutz could give some parties. One year she sewed everyone Strawberry Shortcake hats, another year she put up a maypole in their front yard.

Kristin Hinkle Designs

Floral design, to me, is akin to magic. I'm always amazed at how flowers in buckets turn into works of art. My dear friend Kristin is one of those magicians. I think I've talked her into starting her own blog, soI'll keep you posted. In the meantime, if you need "fresh flowers or container gardens," give her a call.

Marge + Weston, Part II

The wedding, it was perfect and beautiful. And nothing beats a bunch of thirtysomething bridesmaids on stage with the band.

New at Sephora

So what do you get when you mix seven college friends, one condo, and three days at the beach? Not a lot of counterspace, but a whole lot of fun.

Sarah's Wedding, Part II

A few more pictures from Brad and Sarah's wedding. Please note the unbelievable sushi. Maybe they are enjoying some more of that right now in Hawaii.

Sarah's Wedding, Part I

Just back from Sarah's wedding at the Savannah Yacht Club. It (and especially she) was absolutely beautiful. And that girl has been living right, because the weather was perfect. Congratulations to Brad and Sarah!
