beach essentials: earrings
I saw these earrings, by Maya Brenner, over at A Little Sussy, and thought they'd be perfect for the one piece of jewelry to take to the beach.

Subversive for Target
Was I the last to know that Justin was designing for Target? Can't believe I was so late on this one, especially given my love for big jewelry.

Size 6 1/2, Please
Wow, these are really cute shoes. I saw them on ali loves curtis, and hopefully I'll see them soon in my closet. And the best part? They're from Target.

Back from Vacation
Back from a little vacation in Mexico. I guess I was smiling more like this picture when I left than when I got home. But I'd probably be smiling like that, again, if I had a set of that orange J.Crew luggage. Although I wouldn't let the guys at the Atlanta airport get near it.

Pretty Cute
I do love an orange wallet! It makes me happy each time I take mine out of my bag. This one, by Comme des Garcons (at luckyscent) might be my upgrade one day.

Sail Away

A couple of years ago, I bought a Sea Bag (made from an old sail), that I love. Best beach bag ever. These bags at Old Navy sort of remind me of it--quite a bit cheaper, but pretty darn cute. (saw them on ali loves curtis).

Spring Is Just Around the Corner

"Um, yes, Hello? J. Crew? I'm going to need all these items for my dream trip to Mexico. Actually, I'll just take one each from your Spring collection. No, thank you."

Keep Your Feet Dry

This may be the year I finally find a pair of wellies under the tree. Even though here in Atlanta we are currently experiencing a severe drought, I'm optimistic that the rain will fall again. Forget the dogs and critters, though, I want the real thing. From my mother's diligent research, tall girls will like Hunter, and the shorter ones (like me) should go for Barbour. I guess the adorable Keri Russell is a bit taller than me.{images: shopbop, self, orvis}

Wrap It Up

If brown is the new black (I hope so), then scarves are the new necklaces. They can completely change an outfit, and usually for the better. Not to mention they are actually functional, and the stores are covered up with them right now.

Gwyneth's Overnight Bag

I read in House and Garden that for overnight trips, Gwyneth packs her Lanvin flats, Stella McCartney dress, and toothbrush into her L.L. Bean tote. Check on the toothbrush and tote, and maybe some J. Crew flats and a Susana Monaco dress will work just as well.
