tory's inspiration boards

tory burch's south of france inspiration board
I love to browse through Tory Burch's inspiration boards (found via style court). Really, I love to browse through anyone's inspiration boards, and I'd love an entire book or website devoted to them.

dinner for four

Such a perfect room. From Habitually Chic's post on stylist Lili Diallo. And more pretty things in her portfolio.

yay! for sid

Shopping for men's clothing was never one of my favorite things, until Sid Mashburn came to town. You just feel cooler when you walk in the store. Congratulations on being named one of GQ's Most Stylish Men in America. And he (unlike JT) didn't even have to get in a leotard and dance with Beyonce.

inspired

I love this collection of pictures from the inspiration board of the Boston boutique, Looc. Elements of Style's post here about the boutique will make you want to move in immediately.

cult of kate spade

I would happily drink the kool-aid offered to me by any of the Kate Spade crowd. And I'd love to go through the closet of Creative Director Deborah Lloyd, from Harper's Bazaar, February 2009.

everything old is new again

It's rainy and cold here in Atlanta, so it might be a good day to break out the wellies. And did you read this article in the NY Times? Dad, who knew you were so stylish?!?

cute girl

Every time I see this girl, I wish I had on her outfit. She has such great style (and it makes sense that she is a fashion designer).

fashion week faves: marni

Does this count as lace? 'Cause I love it.

fashion week faves: prada

Well done, Miuccia. Especially love the printed, straight skirt with the simple top. I think I can definitely pull this one off.

good advice

After studying the fashion editors front row in Milan, I've decided three key components of a stylish wardrobe include a pink scarf, gray cardigan, and a striped shirt. Lucky for me, I already have all three in my closet.

fashion week

Get your style.com lookbooks ready, kids, 'cause New York Fashion Week starts Friday. I know my girls will be watching (and by "my girls," I'm talking about two of my all-time favorite style icons, Marina Rust and Aerin Lauder).

nantucket style

In the style of the Sartorialist, photos from the streets of Nantucket by photographers Lauryn Levin and Zofia Waig for style.com. Sometimes--well, most of the time, simple is best.

small town style

Charming pictures set in the Italian small town of Atrani, on the Amalfi coast. Their style looks a little different than that of my fellow North Georgia small-towners.

check, please!

Maybe it's my country girl roots, but I am really into gingham these days.

good genes

Such a lovely outfit, worn by Charlotte Casiraghi. I'm guessing she got those cheekbones from her grandmother.

love, love, love

I just love this image: the girl, her outfit, the room, the blue, the sofa--all of it. Sofa from pure by amy mckay, via design*sponge

Without question, the fashion world will never see another genius of this magnitude again.

great mix

Just one last thing before I leave town, from the Sartorialist.

Now & Then

Like everyone else, I loved the photo layout of the Kaufman Desert House in J.Crew. Flipping through Men's Vogue, I found this 1970 photo by Slim Aarons. Good thing J.Crew didn't take too much fashion inspiration from previous owners, although those ladies do look mighty sassy.

Domino Style

While of course I love Domino for the interiors, I often get fashion inspiration from all the cute people that live in the houses they feature. Like the black and white top and sandals of architect and designer Lenardin Madden (March 2008).
