b. braithwaite

I avoid baby stores like the plague--maybe it's because I spent 20 minutes in Babies R Us one day looking for a crib top sheet , only to realize there's a reason babies don't need top sheets. Or maybe it's because I work with kids, and I'm just not ready to have one waiting on me when I get home. No matter, because that all changed when I purchased three gifts (a shower every Saturday in January) at b. braithwaite. A beautiful store, the nicest people, and the wrapping is the best part.

no. 2: ipod speaker

If I'm going to get these gifts done in 30 days (by December 5th), I guess I better get going. For the iPod crowd (not me, though, I actually just bought a new AM/FM "walkman," if you will), this cute little Lego-inspired speaker. At Fred Flare for $25, and it works with all iPod varieties.

no. 1: moravian cookies

First up in 30 gifts/days/dollars, these Moravian Cookies. Named for the Moravian settlement in Winston-Salem, NC and made there, too, these things have got to be some kind of miracle of baking. They are so thin and so delicious, you really will be able to eat the entire tube. Gift set of 3 flavors (spice, sugar, and lemon), $27.99 at Salem Baking Co.

more stripes to love

What gorgeous packaging, created by Good Creative for Pure. If I ever had a shop of all my favorite things, I think the most difficult thing would be choosing the giftwrap! Via black*eiffel.

On the Fridge

I bought the cutest little set of magnets the other night on Etsy, from seller Paper Menagerie.
If getting little packages in the mail makes you as happy as it does me, then I would recommend getting yourself a little something, too.

Orange + Blue

Sometimes Etsy make my dreams come true. I love this ribbon, from seller CardBlanc, and I think my mom will like it on her Mother's Day gift. She's always sweet enough to let me have my ribbons right back.

Sweet Little Gifts: Pretty Paper

For my wedding, I was not even going to entertain the thought of having letterpress invitations. There were already way too many decisions. Now, however, I am obsessed with it. I especially love the calendars from little tree press and linda & harriet, and the cards from snow & graham, and again, linda & harriet.
P.S. By the way, "sweet little gifts" means under $30.
